A New Access Point
“While continuing an unprecedented 25-to-30-year relationship with galleries in Europe, Japan, and Beverly Hills — American collectors can now see new work directly, in a showroom unlike anything else.”
— Tom Christopher · Lift Trucks Art
What you will find at the studio is not a white-box gallery presentation. The new paintings are being shown alongside foundry sculptures and crucibles — the actual vessels used in bronze casting. Lions. Figures. Molds. Bronzes that trace back to Richard Bellamy’s Oil and Steel Gallery and to Socrates Sculpture Park.
This draws from a tradition the Japanese have long perfected: luxury goods and objects displayed alongside artwork. Each makes the other more visible. The weight of a cast vessel makes the painter’s color more electric. The painting gives the object a story it did not have alone.
The gallery relationships in Paris, Tokyo, and Beverly Hills continue. This showroom is an addition — not an alternative — to that system. For American collectors who have followed the work internationally, this is a direct path to new work.

Inside the Studio
The Room Is the Experience.
The showroom at Lift Trucks Art cannot be fully represented online. These images suggest what you will find — but the only way to understand it is to be in the room.

to You.
The gallery system in Europe and Japan was built for a particular kind of collector — one who traveled to the fairs, knew the gallerists, and had access to the private rooms. That system still exists, and those relationships continue.
What is new is simpler: American collectors can now see the work in a studio environment that is more honest, more direct, and frankly more interesting than any gallery. The paintings live alongside the objects of their making. The bronze vessels used in casting sit on the floor with the new canvases on the wall above them.
This is not a compromise or a workaround. It is a better way to see and understand what you are acquiring.

Tell a Story.
The crucibles on the floor were used in bronze casting — they held molten metal at extreme temperatures. Their scarred, textured surfaces are not decoration. They are the record of a process.
We are recasting bronzes originally shown through Richard Bellamy’s Oil and Steel Gallery and from Socrates Sculpture Park. The foundry artifacts on view help explain the casting history and the lineage of each piece.
Select foundry objects are available as collectible artifacts. Full provenance and documentation included. Inquire for details.
